Advisory Council
The Board of Directors of The
Bead Museum believes strongly in the value of sound scholarship in
the study of beads and related artifacts. To help us in these
pursuits, a new Scholarly Advisory Council was formed.
The initial members are:

Strategic Plan
2007-09
In January 2007, the Board of
Directors adopted a three-year strategic plan. The plan
included revised mission, vision, and values statements. Below
are the statements.
Mission Statement:
The Bead Museum fosters the appreciation and understanding of the
global historical, cultural and artistic significance of beads and
related artifacts.
Vision Statement:
The Bead Museum is a world class destination for bead-related
research, education, exhibition, collection and preservation.
Values:

Expansion Complete
It's finally done! Six
projects are now complete.
- The new addition to the
Museum saw its first exhibit opening on September 15th with
Trajectories.
- Along with the gallery,
we have the new Bead Room in the Glendale Civic Center Annex.
-
The library doubled in
size, thanks to a generous donation from Gabrielle Liese.
- Carpet was installed
throughout the museum, creating a fresh, professional atmosphere
that has been noticed by our members and visitors.
- The store has seen
dramatic cosmetic changes that have opened up the new space.
- The website now has a new
look and an updated feel.
